Lukari Community Ship Building was a promotion by Cryptic Studios in which a number of possible designs for a Lukari starship were presented to the Star Trek Online community. The designs were presented in a tournament-style format, and members of the STO community were able to vote for their favorite designs via Twitter, Facebook, and the Star Trek Online forums. The promotion was announced on October 16, 2016 and the winner was announced on November 2, 2016.

Alpha was announced as the winner on November 2, 2016. It was introduced into the game as the Lukari Ho'kuun Science Vessel during th e 7 Year Anniversary Event in January 2017. It also appeared in the related featured episode, “Of Signs and Portents”, as the L.S.S. Reskava
In October 2017, the runner-up Charlie design was introduced within the [Tzenkethi Lock Box] as the Lukari N'Kaam Scout Ship. The runner-up Echo design was introduced in February 2018 as the Lukari Dranuur Scout Ship, made available for players who reach level 5 with their Fleet Colony World.
