The Invasive Coilgun is an Experimental Weapon for starships. This Experimental Weapon fires charged oscillating slugs, designed to penetrate deep into the target's hull. After the target has been hit enough times, the differing charges built up will collapse, shorting out the target's power systems for a short duration.

It is obtainable from the Section 31 Intel Science Destroyer for Federation-aligned characters, and for 200 Lobi Crystal icon.png from the Lobi Store for Klingon-aligned characters. It can be equipped on any starship capable of utilizing Experimental Weapons.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • In addition to being modified by the player's Starship Weapons Training skill (as all Experimental Weapons are), the Invasive Coilgun also benefits from increased Starship Drain Expertise.

Gear Upgrade[edit | edit source]

Experimental Weapons can be upgraded using the following R&D School Tech Upgrades: Beam Weapons Tech Upgrades, Cannon Weapons Tech Upgrades or assorted Universal Tech Upgrades. It will receive an additional modifier on successful quality improvement:
