Hegh'ta Heavy Bird-of-Prey
The Hegh'ta Heavy Bird-of-Prey is a Brigadier General (Tier 5) level Klingon Bird-of-Prey. The Heavy Bird-of-Prey is the last in the line of Birds-of-Prey available to Klingon players. It is the smallest vessel and has the lowest hull strength out of any Klingon end-game ships. However, due to its high Turn Rate and Universal Bridge Officer stations it still is a very competent ship.
Alternative Variants[edit | edit source]
||The Hegh'ta class' design and features resemble that of the Ki'tang class; the only major differences being the more out-spread wings and extra weapon slot mounted on the underside of the vessel.|
||The Haj class is a somewhat more radical design, having narrow wings that fold predominantly downwards, and rather more prominent warp nacelles. Viewed from the front, the ship looks almost like a bat rather than a raptor.|

Abilities[edit | edit source]
The Hegh'ta Heavy Bird-of-Prey has a battle cloak that allows the ship to cloak during combat, granting stealth and a damage bonus upon decloaking.
Experimental Weapon[edit source]
The Hegh'ta Heavy Bird-of-Prey comes with an Experimental Weapon slot. This additional slot does not fit standard weapons. Unlike standard starship weapons, Experimental weapons are not affected by weapon firing modes, such as those granted by bridge officer abilities.
Raiders and Scout Ships come with a built-in passive damage boost available when striking an enemy's rear arc. To make up for the flimsy nature of Raider vessels, and to support their high turn rate and maneuverability, standard raider flanking grants:
- +25% damage to NPC enemy when attacking rear arc.
- +8.25% damage to Player enemy when attacking rear arc.
Standard Configuration[edit | edit source]
Klingon starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.

Notes[edit | edit source]
- The appearance of the Hegh'ta class is similar to a concept drawing from John Eaves when designing new Klingon ships for the Deep Space Nine episode "The Way of the Warrior".
- The Hegh'ta class is likely named after the I.K.S. Hegh'ta, a B'rel Bird-of-Prey under the command of Captain Kurn in 2368.
