A Sarcophagus dreadnought carrier with deployed House Mo'Kai Raiders

House Mo'Kai Raiders are a type of Hangar Pet for Klingon Defense Force characters and their allies, including Klingon-aligned Romulan Republic and Dominion characters.

They are obtained and unlocked with the purchase of the Faction Klingon-aligned.png Sarcophagus Dreadnought Carrier, and can be equipped on any vessel capable of launching hangar pets. Slotted hangar pets will add a launch ability: Launch House Mo'Kai Raiders icon (Klingon).png Launch House Mo'Kai Raiders.

The Klingon House Mo'Kai raider first saw use during the Federation-Klingon War of 2256-2257. They are visually similar to House Mo'Kai fighters, differing only in their armaments. These shuttlecraft feature era-appropriate disruptor visuals to match the DSC Klingon aesthetic.

House Mo'kai raiders are light, fast fighter craft that quickly close in on their target and harass them with a Disruptor beam attack at close range. They are built exclusively to harry foes, and not intended to survive conflicts. Instead, to compensate for their glorious deaths in battle, their relaunch timers are faster than other Fighters (20 seconds vs. a normal 40 seconds for most fighter pets). These fighter craft are so dedicated to their cause that they are incapable of benefiting from any and all sources of Hull Restoration (but in some reason can be healed by Trait: Scramble Fighters restore), nor can they gain ranks like normal Hangar pets.

Note: Despite using the term "Raider" these pets are Fighters, not Frigates.

Two wings of standard-issue (rare) House Mo'Kai Raiders come pre-loaded as part of the Faction Klingon-aligned.png Sarcophagus Dreadnought Carrier's standard equipment.

Destabilized Warp Core[edit | edit source]

House Mo'Kai Raiders come equipped with the active ability Destabilized Warp Core (also named Purposefully Destabilized Warp Core in promotional materials). Their Warp Cores have been intentionally destabilized, which will result in a Warp Core Breach upon their death.

It appears to be virtually identical to the effects produced by the Miracle Worker ability Destabilize Warp Core, though this variant of the ability will always activate on itself upon death of a House Mo'Kai Raider. With each pet variant, the ability gains another rank, buffing the active bonus.

Reclaimable Materials[edit | edit source]

House Mo'Kai Raiders come equipped with the active ability Reclaimable Materials (also named Provide Shield Materials in promotional material, and Reclaimable Raider Materials in-game). When House Mo'Kai Raiders are destroyed, the remnants of their wreckage are appropriated by the Carrier as a barrier, granting Temporary Hit Points to the carrier that launched them. With each pet variant, the ability gains another rank, presumably buffing the active bonus. Ship get 2 000 THp per one destroyed House Mo'Kai Raider with no cap on THp, only time buff.

Modifiers[edit source]

Hangar pet performance may be affected by various factors (unless stated otherwise), all listed below.

  • Innate
    • All Hangar pets are immune to warp core breaches and have an unique version of the Strategist specialization ability "Layered Defense", known as "Layered Defenses III", which makes them immune to a single torpedo hit every 30 seconds.
    • Starships with Hangar Bays by default can use Carrier commands, a set of four abilities which issue orders to your Hangar pets.
  • Subsystem
    • Auxiliary Power level will determine the recharge rate before a Hangar pet can be launched again; if Auxiliary subsystem is knocked offline, the Hangar will not operate.
  • Skill Tree

      • Adm eng fed.png 5 points in Engineering track: Hangar Health: Hangar pets have an additional 10% Maximum Hull Capacity.
      • Adm tac fed.png 5 points in Tactical track: Hangar Weaponry: Hangar pets deal an additional 10% Damage from all sources.
  • Starship Mastery (Carriers, Flight Deck Carriers, Flight Deck Raptors)
    • Mastery passive quick deployment tac fed.png Quick Deployment: 20% recharge time reduction to launching Carrier pet crafts; +50% Rank Up XP for all Hangar Pets.
  • Duty Officers
    • Flight Deck Officer: Reduces the time to recharge Hangar Bay abilities after use.
    • Flight Deck Officer: Increases the accuracy of any carrier pet launched from your Hangar bays while they are in Intercept mode.
    • Flight Deck Officer: Increases the damage of any carrier pet launched from your Hangar bays while they are in Escort mode.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • With a patch on January 25, 2018, House Mo'Kai Raiders were given Sensor-linked Disruptor beam weapons.
