The Fleet Patrol Escort Refit is an Admiral (Tier 5) level Federation Escort. Players can obtain the vessel through the Shipyard for 5 as long as the player's Fleet has a Tier I shipyard. The Refit version of the Fleet Patrol Escort comes equipped with a 4th aft weapon slot fused with the [Tempest Tail Gun]. This ship replaced the original Fleet Patrol Escort in the Shipyard shortly after the launch of Season 9.
Fleet Patrol Escorts have expanded Engineering facilities intended to support a battle group during difficult missions. The Fleet Patrol Escort Refit has been specifically designed to support your Fleet. Fleet Starships are built to the highest standard and have increased Hull Hit Points, Shield Strength, and an additional Console slot.
Variants[edit | edit source]
Maelstrom class[edit | edit source]Bird-of-Prey with forward-swept "wings". Its nacelles are flat and straight, with the Bussard Collectors located on the underside. Its nose-mounted deflector is also smaller and square-shaped.
This class was previously available as an extra ship skin at the C-Store, but as of Season 7 is exclusive to the Fleet Patrol Escort and Fleet Patrol Escort Refit. Players who purchased the skin prior to the Season 7 update may still use the Maelstrom skin on any Patrol Escorts they own.
Tempest class[edit | edit source]Assault Cruiser Refit and Tactical Escort Refit. The Tempest class is similar in profile to the Dervish class, with a round saucer section. The central deflector hull is less pronounced, and the main deflector is set deep into the area where the central hull merges with the saucer.
Dervish class[edit | edit source]Star Trek Online official website.)
Gryphon class[edit | edit source]Defiant class on both sides of the saucer, as well as having only two Reaction Control Thrusters. The nacelles are much longer with bigger recessed Bussard collector ports and arched side pylons. Its center pylon is wing shaped with carved triangular shapes in the front.
