Description[edit | edit source]
The tier 6 Fleet Heavy Escort Carrier is based upon the highly successful Armitage Class design. This new heavy escort has been built from the ground up to most efficiently combat the Iconian threat. This starship features a Lieutenant Commander Engineering/Pilot specialist seat. The Fleet Heavy Escort Carrier [T6] has been specifically designed to support your Fleet. Fleet Starships are built to the highest standard and have increased Hull Hit Points, Shield Strength and an additional Console slot. Tier 6 Fleet ships do not have a 5th Starship Mastery level and thus do not unlock a Starship Trait. The Fleet Heavy Escort Carrier [T6] has a single hangar bay equipped with Peregrine Fighters. These light craft are equipped with Phaser Pulse Cannons and Micro Photon Torpedoes.
Variants[edit | edit source]
Alita-class[edit | edit source]
The Tier 6 Alita-class Heavy Escort Carrier is based upon the highly successful Armitage-class design. This new heavy escort has been built from the ground up to most efficiently combat the Iconian threat.
Armitage-class[edit | edit source]
The Armitage class is a Heavy Escort Carrier. These vessels were designed to fit the original role meant for the Akira class: that of a small carrier-escort hybrid. Its appearance features low-slung, forward-swept pylons and long, tapered nacelles. Its saucer is built around a thick central spine that contains the deflector and elevates the bridge above the split hull. Its single, forward-facing hangar is equipped with a wing of Peregrine Fighters by default. A battery of cannon aperatures is concentrated in the nose, above and to the sides of the deflector dish. The Armitage is longer than even the Patrol Escort (though it has the same amount of crew). If made to use components from standard Heavy Escorts such as the Akira or Thunderchild its size will shrink to match. Torpedo and turret fire comes from the top-mounted launcher in the rear pylon.
Akira-class[edit | edit source]
Used as inspiration for the NX-01, the Akira class Heavy Escort closely resembles the Enterprise from the TV series Star Trek: Enterprise. It is the most popular of the three Heavy Escort classes. Ships of the class include the U.S.S. Kelvin and U.S.S. Thunderchild (NCC-63549).
Oslo-class[edit | edit source]Norway class ship. It shares the same nacelle design as the Nova Class Science Vessel.
Zephyr-class[edit | edit source]Steamrunner class ship.
Thunderchild-class[edit | edit source]Heavy Escort Refit for 1000 from the C-Store.
Performance[edit | edit source]
A single hangar bay allows the Armitage class flexibility to suit its current mission. Fighters can be equipped for additional DPS, shuttles for interception and debuffs against incoming enemies, shield repair drones for additional staying power, or Runabouts to lock down enemies.
