The Fleet Defiant-class Tactical Escort is a Tier 6 Escort which may be flown by Starfleet characters, including Federation-aligned Romulan Republic and Dominion characters. This starship can be used from any level upon completion of the tutorial experience. As you level up, this ship gains additional hull, weapon slots, and console slots.

Players can obtain this starship from any Ship and Shuttle Requisitions officer for 20,000 Fleet Credits and 5 Fleet Ship Module icon.png, so long as the player's Fleet has a Tier III Shipyard and one Starbase Military Fleet Ship Provision. If the player already owns the Valiant Tactical Escort from the Zen Store, the Fleet Ship Module cost is reduced to 1.

Fleet Tactical Escort T6 Defiant.jpg
Defiant-class
Defiant class was the first of the Tactical Escort designs, with a prototype originally designed to fight the Borg. The project ultimately failed at Utopia Planetia because its initial engine designs tore the ship apart, though then Engineer Miles Edward O'Brien took the project under his wing and corrected most of its issues. The class design later entered production due to the Dominion threat.

Default Gallant Class.jpg
Gallant-class
Launched in response to the fallout from the Khitomer Accords in 2399, the Gallant class was born. These ships were made to fight on the front lines of Borg conflict. Gallant is a variant of Defiant, just as capable and bares just as many teeth.

Default Vigilant Class.jpg
Vigilant-class
The Vigilant was a design inspired by the Defiant class. It is just as powerful and nimble but is larger and features an updated nacelle design. The Vigilant is also equipped with a multipurpose space that is adaptable to any situation including relaxation or training.

Tactical Escort Refit default Sao Paulo class.jpg
Sao Paulo-class
The Sao Paulo class is a 25th century refit of the famed Defiant class. It has exposed, forward-swept warp nacelles and a more faceted main deflector. It also has the white hull texture common to refit vessels.

The Sao Paulo class skin is unlocked with the purchase of the Tactical Escort Refit (Tier 4, C-Store, 1500 Zen small icon.png).

Vigilant Refit-class
A refit of the Vigilant Class mounting large Quad Cannons on the redesigned more armoured nacelles as well as several other changes to the design.
Gallant Refit-class
A refit of the Gallant Class the hardpoints that extend from the main hull have a new design as well as several other changes.

Abilities[edit | edit source]

Universal consoles[edit | edit source]

This vessel can equip the [Quantum Warhead Module] from the Tactical Escort (T6), which must be purchased separately from the C-Store; this console can be used on all Tactical Escort variants. The Fleet Tactical Escort (T6) can also equip the [Cloaking Device] console from the Tactical Escort Retrofit (Tier 5, C-Store, 2000 Zen small icon.png) or the Dreadnought Cruiser (Tier 5, C-Store, 2500 Zen small icon.png). These consoles are part of the Stealth Fighter Set (Defiant).

Experimental Weapon[edit source]

The Fleet Defiant Tactical Escort comes with an Experimental Weapon slot. This additional slot does not fit standard weapons. Unlike standard starship weapons, Experimental weapons are not affected by weapon firing modes, such as those granted by bridge officer abilities.

Specialization seating

The Fleet Defiant-class Tactical Escort features the following specialist seats:

  • Lieutenant Commander Tactical-Pilot Lieutenant Commander Tactical/Pilot

Scaling starship

This starship's equipment slots, base hull capacity and shield capacity scale as your level increases.

Equipment slots and seating[edit source]

As you rank up every 10 levels, up to level 40, the ship's forward weapon slots, aft weapon slots, tactical console slots, engineering console slots, science console slots and available bridge officer (boff) abilities will slowly increase toward endgame capabilities:

Level Console tac icon.png Console eng icon.png Console sci icon.png Fore weapons Aft weapons Boff seats

Hull strength[edit source]

This table shows how the ship's hull strength scales at each level. The base hull of all scaling starships is 10,000, which is then multiplied by the ship's hull modifier (1.1 for the Fleet Defiant Tactical Escort), and then multiplied by the scaling multiplier below at each level.

Hull scaling table
