− | The PAGENAME is a Vice Admiral level (Tier 5) Federation Battle Cruiser, the first of its kind. As the name suggests, the Avenger shares many characteristics with Klingon Battle Cruisers, having been designed for war and not exploration. Players can obtain the vessel through any Shipyard for 20,000 FC and 4 FSM, as long as the player's Fleet has a Tier IV Fleet shipyard. It can be purchased for only 20,000 FC and 1 FSM if the Avenger Battlecruiser has already been purchased from the C-Store. |
||
+ | ===Universal consoles=== |
||
+ | The PAGENAME doesn't come equipped with any universal consoles. |
||
+ | However, it can equip the Deadly Maneuvers Set, which includes Console - Universal - Variable Auto-Targeting Armament, Console - Universal - Ablative Hazard Shielding, and Console - Universal - Variable Assault Deflector Array. These consoles are obtainable from the Avenger Battlecruiser, Arbiter Battlecruiser and Inquiry Battlecruiser respectively. |

||
− | ===Avenger class=== |
||
− | Despite adhering to Starfleet's traditional cruiser design pattern, the combat focus of the Avenger is expressed in nearly every aspect. It is compact, roughly the same size as a destroyer-class ship (such as the Chimera Heavy Destroyer) and its hull features a thick, reinforced appearance. Visible weapon hardpoints appear around the edges of the saucer, revealing the Avenger's impressive forward armaments, and the bridge is protected by two armored braces extending from the split neck. |
||
− | The outboard warp nacelles are rectangular blocks, with optional fins for atmospheric stability. The pylons curve upward, though the Fleet Avenger can use a pair of straight, wing-like pylons that place the nacelles parallel to the secondary hull. The deflector dish is heavily armored, and only exposes a small "lit" portion, unlike the open dishes of other vessels. |
||
− | The Avenger sports few windows, and those that are present are recessed into armored grooves that automatically seal up in combat. Windows along the secondary hull and neck are set on the inner surface of the hull to protect them from enemy fire. |

− | The Fleet Avenger Battlecruiser improves on one of the standard Avenger Battlecruiser's only weaknesses - its durability. With the Fleet upgrade providing the ship with extra Hull and Shield strength over the standard Avenger, as well as a better shield modifier, the Fleet Avenger is better suited to withstanding punishment. With 5 fore weapons slots, 4 Tactical and Engineering consoles, the ability to mount Dual Cannons and a superior Turn Rate (9), the Fleet Avenger offers a great mix of hitting power and survivability. |

||
− | The ship's main weaknesses are its lack of Science abilities (despite the addition of an extra console) and only 3 aft weapons slots, leaving the ship vulnerable to Alpha-Strike tactics, especially by decloaking Klingon and Romulan ships. To counter this, it is highly recommended that the player equip the Cloak from the Dreadnought Cruiser or the Tactical Escort Retrofit if they have it, granting the ship a strong Alpha-Strike capability of its own. |

The Fleet Avenger-class Battlecruiser (T5) is a Tier 5 (Level 50) Battlecruiser which may be flown by Starfleet characters, including Federation-aligned Romulan Republic and Dominion characters. All faction restrictions of this starship can be removed by having a level 65 KDF character or by purchasing the Cross Faction Flying unlock from the Zen Store.
Players can obtain this starship from any Ship and Shuttle Requisitions officer for 20,000 and 4 , so long as the player's Fleet has a Tier IV Shipyard and one Starbase Military Fleet Ship Provision. If the player already owns the Avenger Battlecruiser from the Zen Store, the Fleet Ship Module cost is reduced to 1.
Overview
Fleet Avenger-class Battlecruiser has been specifically designed to support the Alliance Fleet. Fleet Starships are built to the highest standard and have increased Hull Hit Points, Shield Strength and an additional Console slot.
Class variants
Class | Information |
---|---|
Inquiry class |
SKIN UNLOCK: Inquiry Battlecruiser, 1 The Inquiry-class was utilized by Starfleet in the late 24th century. The ship design would later serve as basis for newer and more powerful Avenger and Arbiter class Battlecruisers, before being brought back into service in 2411. Players can choose between Inquiry and Inquiry Beta warp nacelles. |
Avenger class |
SKIN UNLOCK: Free The Avenger is compact, roughly the same size as a destroyer-class ship (such as the Chimera) and its hull features a thick, reinforced appearance. Visible weapon hardpoints appear around the edges of the saucer, revealing the Avenger's impressive forward armament, and the bridge is protected by two armored braces that merge with the neck, which like the design of the Odyssey class, is split into two. The warp nacelles are blocky and rectangular in design, with optional fins for atmospheric stability. The deflector dish is heavily armored, and only exposes a small "lit" portion, unlike the larger, open dishes of other vessels. The Avenger sports few windows, and those that are present are recessed into armored niches that automatically seal up when the ship enters combat. Windows along the neck are set facing inward, to protect them from enemy fire. |
Avenger class Fleet refit |
SKIN UNLOCK: Free with this starship OR Fleet Avenger Battlecruiser (T6), 20,000 , 5 The Fleet refit of the Avenger class utilizes a pair of straight pylons that place the nacelles parallel to the secondary hull, rather than curving upward as on the standard Avenger class. Players may also select the "No Fins" nacelle variant. |
Arbiter class |
SKIN UNLOCK: Arbiter Battlecruiser, 3,000 The Arbiter-class Battlecruiser was designed from the ground up to be durable enough to combat the Iconian threat while still being able to deliver punishing amounts of damage. |
