The Kassae System is a system located in the Kassae Sector of the Beta Quadrant.

The Kassae System consists of seven planets orbiting a G-class star. Starships entering the system should adjust communications systems to compensate for high levels of metreon isotopes.
The Federation Science Council has an archaeological research team stationed on Kassae II to study an extensive series of underground ruins linked to a reptilian race that may have been a precursor to the Gorn and Saurian species, among others.
Missions Involved[ | ]
- “Researcher Rescue”: After losing contact with the Archaeological Research Station on Kassae II, the player has to investigate and subsequently defend the station and its scientists against a Gorn ambush. Believing Kassae IV to be one of the homes of their ancestors, the Gorn have accused a Federation archaeological team there of grave-robbing and have taken hostages. Several shield generators on the surface of Kassae IV are creating a high-intensity energy field which is preventing a sensor-lock for emergency transport. An away team must disable the shield generators and rescue the research team.
