Design Your Ship was a promotion by Cryptic Studios in which a number of possible designs for a Federation Carrier were presented to the Star Trek Online community. The designs were presented in a tournament-style format, and members of the STO community were able to vote for their favorite designs via Twitter, Facebook, and the Star Trek Online forums.

- The winning design, "Omega," was revealed on October 26, 2015.
- A blog post detailing the modeling process was released on November 20, 2015.
- On November 21, 2015, it was confirmed that the final design would be the new Jupiter class.
- The new carrier went live on November 27, 2015.
