We have begun migration of most wikis to our new host, Amazon Web Services. All but the top 100 wikis are in read-only mode until the migration is complete. Estimated completion: TBD -- Update: Fri 10/20 11pm UTC - We have encountered some unexpected issues. Our staff is working around the clock to complete this process as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.
Exploration Cruiser Retrofit
The Exploration Cruiser Retrofit is an Admiral (Tier 5) level Federation Cruiser. This Retrofit vessel is a heavily modified version of the (Tier 4) Exploration Cruiser. The most prominent Exploration Cruiser variant is the Galaxy class, which was the flagship of the fleet when it was first introduced in the late 2350s. The most well known Galaxy class vessel was the USS Enterprise-D, commanded by Captain Jean-Luc Picard. The retrofit upgrades this class with the latest standard equipment used in the early 25th century.
Variants[edit | edit source]
Galaxy class[edit | edit source]
Starfleet's top-of-the-line vessel in the mid-24th century. The Galaxy class was made popular by the multiple-award winning series, Star Trek: The Next Generation where the most notable ship of its type was the U.S.S. Enterprise-D. This is the shortest Exploration Cruiser variant, but the most iconic.
Celestial class[edit | edit source]
The design of the Celestial-class has components reminiscent of the Ambassador-class line of Starfleet cruisers. (One such starship was the Enterprise-C, commanded by Rachel Garrett.) Distinguishing differences between the Celestial- and Ambassador-class designs are the straight pylons, conical warp nacelles and engineering hull, and the thicker saucer.
To recreate the look of the Ambassador-class ships, most players prefer using this costume, along with the Galaxy-class pylons. However as of Season 7 the Support Cruiser renders this method moot
Envoy class[edit | edit source]
Venture class[edit | edit source]Sovereign class, such as the raised V-shaped platform on the primary hull detail, and a whiter-colored hull with darker markings. It is also tied with the Monarch Class for the largest Exploration Cruiser variant.
The Venture-class appears to be a fair approximation of Andrew Probert's original concept art for the Enterprise-D.
Monarch class[edit | edit source]

Notes[edit | edit source]
- On 6 March 2014, the Exploration Cruiser Retrofit was included as part of a "Galaxy Revamp Bundle", which also includes the Exploration Cruiser Refit and Dreadnought Cruiser. The Saucer Separation animation was updated with the same technology as the Odyssey's Chevron Separation, allowing saucer separation while moving.
- The Bundle's Saucer Separation and Antimatter Spread consoles form a 2pc set which boosts hull and armor ratings, as well as a +1 bonus to turn rate. Both consoles can be used on this ship, the Dreadnought Cruiser, or either Fleet variant.
- The Cloaking Device console cannot be used on this ship.
- The Galaxy-class exploration Cruiser was remodeled in April 2015 to more closely match her canon appearance in Star Trek: The Next Generation.
