Exploration Cruiser (T6)
Overview[edit | edit source]
This vessel is a heavily modified version of the (Tier 4) Exploration Cruiser. The most prominent Exploration Cruiser variant is the Galaxy class, which was the flagship of the fleet when it was first introduced in the mid-24th century. The most well known Galaxy class vessel was the USS Enterprise-D, commanded by Captain Jean-Luc Picard. The Tier 6 vessel upgrades this class with the latest standard equipment used in the early 25th century.
Variants[edit | edit source]
Andromeda class[edit | edit source]
Following the success of the Pathfinder class in Operation Delta Rising, Starfleet Corps of Engineers teams at the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards began work on updates of other core ship designs in the Federation fleet. The Andromeda Exploration Cruiser is the first ship from this effort to be released to Starfleet captains. An update of the famed Galaxy class that was the flagship of Starfleet in the mid-24th century, the Andromeda incorporates updated technology developed to give this ship improved capabilities for the difficult challenges Starfleet faces in the months ahead.
Galaxy class[edit | edit source]
Starfleet's top-of-the-line vessel in the mid-24th century. The Galaxy class was made popular by the multiple-award winning series, Star Trek: The Next Generation where the most notable ship of its type was the U.S.S. Enterprise-D. This is the shortest Exploration Cruiser variant, but the best known.
Monarch class[edit | edit source]
Venture class[edit | edit source]Sovereign class, such as the raised V-shaped platform on the primary hull detail, and a whiter-colored hull with darker markings. It is also tied with the Monarch Class for the largest Exploration Cruiser variant.
The Venture-class appears to be a fair approximation of Andrew Probert's original concept art for the Enterprise-D.

Abilities[edit | edit source]
The Exploration Cruiser (T6) comes with a [Console - Universal - Molecular Cohesion Nullifier]. Experimental shielding technology has taken a turn towards offensive weaponry, allowing this device to generate a local field that damages the molecular bonds of matter in a short radius. The Molecular Cohesion Nullifier Field will also protect the user from all sources of damage while active. Both the damage and the damage resistance effects will resonate at more powerful frequencies, based on how many foes are within the affected area. This console provides a passive bonus to all Subsystem Power Levels.
This vessel can also utilize the Saucer Separation and Antimatter Spread consoles from lower-tier Exploration Cruisers. These three consoles form the Enhanced Engineering Systems Set.
Cruiser Commands[edit | edit source]
As a cruiser, this ship supports the following cruiser commands
- Ability: Strategic Maneuvering
- Ability: Shield Frequency Modulation
- Ability: Weapon System Efficiency
- Ability: Attract Fire

Notes[edit | edit source]
- The introduction of the T6 Exploration Cruiser coincided with a remodeling of Galaxy-class Exploration Crusiers to more closely resemble the class' on-screen appearance in Star Trek: The Next Generation.
