Engineering Pilot Warbird
The Engineering Pilot Warbird is a Vice Admiral (Tier 6) level Warbird. This ship is available to Romulan Republic players from the Cryptic store for 3,000 , or as part of the 3-pack Pilot Warbirds bundle for 6,000 , or a 9-pack cross-faction bundle for 12,000 .
Overview[edit | edit source]
While modern Romulan ship designs have placed greater value on size than maneuverability, the Romulan Republic has recognized the value of speed and agility in space. Therefore, a team on Mol'Rihan has developed new warbirds that will be assigned to commanders who favor a more acrobatic form of combat.
The Khaiell-class Pilot Warbird is the engineering-centric variant of the Pilot Warbird. It features more engineering console slots and higher-rank engineering bridge officer seats than other Pilot Warbird variants.
Alternative Variants[edit | edit source]
|SKIN UNLOCK: Science Pilot Warbird, 3,000 |
Based on an unused I.R.W. Scimitar concept art, the Jaeih-class is the most complex looking of the pilot warbirds, resembling a bird in flight with its wings spread wide.
|SKIN UNLOCK: Free |
The Khaiell-class resembles a bird in mid-flap with its wings swept forward. Its most distinctive feature are weapon pods on the tips of the outer wings.
|SKIN UNLOCK: Tactical Pilot Warbird, 3,000 |
The Okhala-class heavily resembles the Khaiell-class, but its design feels more spartan: inner wings lack the ridged pattern of the Khaiell while outer ones have open gaps within them. This simplicity further reinforces the idea that Okhala was built for one purpose only - war.

Abilities[edit | edit source]
Universal Consoles[edit | edit source]
The Engineering Pilot Warbird comes equipped with the [Console - Universal - Subspace Eddy].
This ability is part of the Piloting Modifications Set, which also includes [Console - Universal – Microprojectile Barrage Launcher] and [Console - Universal - Spatial Sinkhole Generator] obtainable with Tactical Pilot Warbird (T6) and Science Pilot Warbird (T6), but also equippable on the Engineering Pilot Warbird. For each console added after the first, an additional passive bonus is unlocked.
Specialization Seating[edit | edit source]
The Engineering Pilot Warbird features two specialist seats:
The Engineering Pilot Warbird has a battle cloak that allows the ship to cloak during combat, granting stealth and a damage bonus upon decloaking.
Experimental Weapon[edit source]
The Engineering Pilot Warbird comes with an Experimental Weapon slot. This additional slot does not fit standard weapons. Unlike standard starship weapons, Experimental weapons are not affected by weapon firing modes, such as those granted by bridge officer abilities.
Pilot Maneuvers[edit source]
Pilot ships can perform a sudden maneuver in each horizontal direction: Forward, Backward, Left or Right. Executing each maneuver will rapidly reposition your starship while granting very brief damage immunity, but costs all available thruster fuel which takes several seconds to recover.
Romulan Warbird vessels come with built-in Singularity abilities. These abilities do not automatically rank up when acquiring higher tier Warbirds. These powers build in severity based on the charge built up by the ship's Singularity Core.
Standard Configuration[edit | edit source]
Romulan starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.
