The Eclipse Intel Cruiser is a Vice Admiral (Tier 6) level Federation Cruiser. Players can obtain the vessel from the C-Store individually for 3,000 Zen small icon.png, or as part of the Delta Operations Pack for 15,000 Zen small icon.png.

Overview[edit | edit source]

The Eclipse Cruiser is quite nimble for a starship of its class, it sacrifices little structural integrity for this benefit. it features a Cloaking Device and Active Sensor Arrays. The former allows the starship to cloak while not in combat, and the latter allows intel craft to gather information about their target to expose a vulnerability in their defenses.

This vessel enables a discount when purchasing its fleet variant. It can utilize the Intelligence bridge officer powers and other abilities described below.

Designed to conduct covert missions and intelligence-gathering in hostile space, the Eclipse's basic hullform is both essentially similar to, yet dramatically different from, the classic profile of Starfleet cruisers.

In its standard configuration Eclipse bears the familiar combination of a saucer-shaped primary hull with outboard warp nacelles attached by slender pylons. However the forms of the hull, nacelles and pylons are designed to minimize the ship's visibility to enemy sensors and even the naked eye.

The saucer and nacelle shapes are flattened, with thin edges and tapered angles. Like the Heavy Cruiser, the Eclipse's secondary hull is blended with the primary saucer, housing the main deflector along the ventral surface of the saucer. Four flattened, low-profile warp nacelles attach at close angles to short pylons at the rear of the secondary hull. Weapon hardpoints are blended into the hull surface, and translucent panels on the surface of the saucer show instruments to coordinate the data relayed from the Eclipse's active sensor probes, which launch from a small bay located in the secondary hull.

The ship's default hull material (Intel) is black, with no visible windows, rendering the Eclipse difficult to see against the background of space, if not for thin, blue running light strips. Other window options and hull material selections can brighten the ship's profile and light the windows, which are mainly located along the Eclipse's secondary hull.

The Eclipse's warp nacelles are interchangeable with those of the Phantom Intel Escort and Scryer Intel Science Vessel.

Abilities[edit | edit source]

Universal Console[edit | edit source]

The Eclipse Intel Cruiser comes equipped with the [Console - Universal - Structural Integrity Field Siphon].

Active Sensor Arrays

As an Intelligence starship, the Eclipse Intel Cruiser is capable of deploying an Intel sensor drone with the Gather Intelligence ability.

While the target is Vulnerable, one of three Expose Vulnerability abilities can be used. These powerful abilities find a critical weakness in the targeted foe and allow players to briefly exploit it.

Intelligence vessels also have a built-in passive ability which renders them undetectable at long range.

The Eclipse Intel Cruiser has a cloak that allows the ship to cloak when not in combat, granting stealth and a damage bonus upon decloaking.

Cruiser Commands[edit | edit source]

As an Intel Cruiser, this ship supports the following cruiser commands.

Specialization Seating[edit | edit source]

The Eclipse Intel Cruiser features two specialist seats:

  • Commander Engineering-Intelligence Commander Engineering-Intelligence
  • Lieutenant Science-Intelligence Lieutenant Science-Intelligence

Standard configuration[edit | edit source]

Starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.

Scaling starship[edit source]

This starship's equipment slots, base hull capacity and shield capacity scale as your level increases.

Equipment slots[edit source]

As you rank up every 10 levels, up to level 40, the ship's forward weapon slots, aft weapon slots, tactical console slots, engineering console slots, and science console slots will slowly increase toward endgame capabilities:

Level Console tac icon.png Console eng icon.png Console sci icon.png Fore weapons Aft weapons
0-9 1 3 0 2 2
10-19 2 3 1 3 2
20-29 2 4 1 3 3
30-39 3 4 2 4 4
40+ 3 5 2

Hull strength[edit source]

This table shows how the ship's hull strength scales at each level. The base hull of all scaling starships is 10,000, which is then multiplied by the ship's hull modifier (1.225 for the Eclipse Intel Cruiser), and then multiplied by the scaling multiplier below at each level.
