The Duvqu' Heavy Destroyer is a Lieutenant General (Tier 6) level scaling Destroyer. This ship is available to 1000-day Klingon Defense Force Veterans and Lifetime Subscribers.

This starship can be used from any level, upon completion of the tutorial experience. As you level up, this ship gains additional hull, weapon slots, and console slots.

Overview[edit | edit source]

The Starfleet Corps of Engineers and New Romulus Shipyards are not the only elite groups working on new starships. An engineering team at the Empire Shipyards have designed the Peghqu'-class Heavy Destroyer - a heavy ship with increased maneuverability that is nimble enough to outmaneuver a cruiser, but strong enough to take a barrage from an escort. Only experienced ship commanders with the backing of the High Council will have the chance to fly this ship.

After the success of the Peghqu'-class Heavy Destroyer prototype, the Empire shipyards has decided to make further advancements upon the experimental design of the Heavy Destroyer. The result is the Duvqu'-class Heavy Destroyer. It is similar to a Raptor, but is much more versatile.

The Duvqu'-class, similar to its T5 variant, fills a unique role in the Klingon fleet as it is more sturdy than a Bird-of-Prey, more maneuverable than a Battle Cruiser, and more flexible than a Raptor. The Battle Cloak gives it another huge advantage normally available only to more maneuverable (and fragile) Raiders on the KDF side, and Romulan Warbirds.

The Peghqu'-class physically resembles an advanced Raptor, bearing many similarities to the Puyjaq Raptor, with rounded, curved surfaces and ribbed plating shielding the warp nacelles. Unlike the Puyjaq, the Peghqu' has slightly downward-swept and more heavily reinforced wings. The "head" section is rounded into a bullet shape, with protruding cannon mounts on each side.

The Duvqu'-class had an extensive redesign done to the ship's impulse engines, nacelles, Disruptor Lotus emitters and the "head" section. Ship's "head" now sports two much larger cannon muzzles and a deflector array similar in design to the one on Vaadwaur Manasa-class Escort.

Universal Consoles[edit | edit source]

The Duvqu' Heavy Destroyer comes equipped with the [Console - Universal - Enhanced Dynamic Tactical System] which allows the player to switch the Destroyer between Regenerative Mode and Tactical Mode.

While in the innate Regenerative Mode, excess power is transferred to the Auxiliary System, Starship Shield Systems skill is increased and Tachyon Inversion Beam is enabled.

Activating Tactical Mode transfers power to Weapon Systems, increases ship's Starship Targeting Systems skill granting an Accuracy bonus and enables a powerful multi-targeting Lotus capable of piercing multiple targets.

Battle Cloak

The Duvqu' Heavy Destroyer has a battle cloak that allows the ship to cloak during combat, granting stealth and a damage bonus upon decloaking.

Experimental Weapon[edit source]

The Duvqu' Heavy Destroyer comes with an Experimental Weapon slot. This additional slot does not fit standard weapons. Unlike standard starship weapons, Experimental weapons are not affected by weapon firing modes, such as those granted by bridge officer abilities.

Special Features[edit | edit source]

The Duvqu' Heavy Destroyer comes with a built-in Advanced Quantum Slipstream Drive which allows improved Sector Space travel speed of 107.8 (approx Warp 23) for 60 seconds instead of normal 30 seconds. Re-initializing it takes 60 seconds instead of normal 120 seconds.

Klingon starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.

Hull Strength Scaling[edit source]

This table shows how the ship's hull strength scales at each level. The base hull of all scaling starships is 10,000, which is then multiplied by the ship's hull modifier (1.15 for the Duvqu' Heavy Destroyer), and then multiplied by the scaling multiplier below at each level.
