The Delta Class Shuttle is Federation shuttlecraft. Its design is based on the Delta Flyer, a craft designed and built by the crew of the U.S.S. Voyager during their sojourn in the Delta Quadrant. It is larger than standard Federation auxiliary craft and has more advanced shields, allowing for longer and more hazardous away missions. It also gains a 10% bonus to shield strength compared to other shuttles (60% versus the standard 50%).
The Delta Flyer shuttle comes equipped with a [Delta Class Shuttle] ship device that, when activated, launches a non-combat Delta Flyer shuttle pet. It is intended that players equip this device into other vessels, and the device has no effect when equipped in the Delta Flyer itself.
Performance
Similar to the Danube Class Runabout, the Delta class shuttle performs unsurprisingly poorly. Despite its strong maneuverability and scaling hull strength, and even with high level equipment and weapons, it is inadvisable for players to engage in space combat with full-size vessels at the helm of a Delta class shuttle.
Standard Configuration
Federation shuttles come with Standard Issue-S equipment and weapons that scale with the player. Additionally, shuttles have specialized beam arrays that have a 360-degree targeting arc. These cannot be equipped on any other type of vessel.

Hull Strength
The strength of the shuttle's hull also scales with the player, though this is based on rank rather than level.

Notes
- Prior to Season 5 it was possible to craft the Delta Class Shuttle. This has been removed from the game, and the shuttle can now only be purchased from the C-Store.
