A Deferi Space Security officer is responsible for the protection of Deferi space and will scan every ship which is visiting Defera for the first time in order to identify and verify the credentials of the visitors. To enter Defera's orbit one is required to provide the clearance code to an DSS officer. When the authenticity is proved alien visitors are granted permission to beam down and have their vessel enter orbit.
