Ensign Byarnez is a Starfleet Engineering officer in the shipyard section of Earth Spacedock's main concourse. She provides players with information on how to obtain a Captain's Yacht. She is of an as-yet unknown race.

- Byarnez appeared in pre-Season 8 version of the Federation tutorial, where she is initially under Commander Kelly's command at the Borg attack on the Vega Colony. She helps equip you before you rescue colonists in the “Assimilation” mission.
- Byarnez also used to serve as a vendor for small craft, which can now be obtained from the general ship vendor, Lt. Laurel.
