Advanced Research Vessel (T6)
42,000 (Level 60)
The Advanced Research Vessel (T6) is a Vice Admiral (Tier 6) level Science vessel, also known as Sutherland class. It can be obtained from the Cryptic store for 3,000 or as part of the T6 Cross Faction Science Modern Bundle for 6,000 .
Overview[edit | edit source]
The Sutherland is built to support fleet actions as well as stand tall on its own through the use of its tachyon-based tech. A tough Federation science ship equipped with a Tachyon Particle Field Emitter, allowing it to drain enemy shields and restore the shields of allies in battle. It comes with the Sutherland-class costume and adds discount for the purchase of the fleet variant.
Alternative Variants[edit | edit source]
||The Nebula class reuses many of the components and much of the technology of the Galaxy class, but is tailored to be less expensive and more flexible. It has a large saucer shaped primary hull atop a smaller secondary hull, with the warp nacelles mounted below the saucer. To the aft is a large pylon supporting a triangular mission pod. This costume is unlocked for free.|
||What the Nebula class is to the Galaxy class, the Magellan is to the Monarch class. The Magellan class has a broader, more angular mission pod, and its warp nacelles have a triangular cross section. This costume is unlocked for free.|
||The Venture class skin is unlocked with the purchase of the Exploration Cruiser Refit for 1,500.|
||Purchase of the Sutherland Advanced Research Vessel also unlocks additional mission pod and central pylon option, as seen on the USS Phoenix. Combining it with the Nebula-class skin gives the ship a 24th century retro look.|

Abilities[edit | edit source]
Universal Consoles[edit | edit source]
The Advanced Research Vessel (T6) includes the [Console - Universal - Tachyon Particle Field Emitter] universal console. This console is part of the Tachyon Manipulation Technology Set.
Sensor Analysis[edit source]
Sensor Analysis is an active toggle ability. While maintaining a Sensor Lock on a target, the player gains a stacking effect that either improves the damage and power drain against an enemy, or improves any heal directed towards an ally. This effect stacks every 3 seconds, to a maximum of 6 stacks after 18 continuous seconds. To maintain the desired effect, the player must hold the sensor lock.
Subsystem Targeting[edit source]
The Advanced Research Vessel (T6) comes with built-in Subsystem Targeting abilities. These built-in abilities stay at Rank I and do not automatically rank up when acquiring higher tier Science starships. They are separate from Subsystem Targeting abilities gained through Tactical Space Bridge officer abilities.
- Target Auxiliary Subsystems I
- Target Weapons Subsystems I
- Target Engines Subsystems I
- Target Shields Subsystems I
Activating a subsystem targeting ability will upgrade all energy weapons to inflict a stacking power drain on the foe's targeted subsystem for the next 10 seconds. They will also have a small chance to knock the targeted subsystem offline for a short duration.
Specialization Seating[edit | edit source]
The Advanced Research Vessel (T6) features one specialist bridge officer seat:
Standard Configuration[edit | edit source]
Federation starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.
Notes[edit | edit source]
The introduction of the T6 Advanced Research Vessel coincided with a remodel for the Nebula-class that brought the ships appearance in line with the studio model used in the filming of the 24th century Star Trek television shows.
