Advanced Research Vessel
The Advanced Research Vessel is a Commander (Tier 3) level Federation Science Vessel. Known as the new "workhorse" of the Federation, this ship type has been in Starfleet service since 2363. This class of vessel replaced the Miranda class as the multi-purpose mission vessel, taking on various tasks from patrols to humanitarian or diplomatic missions, exploration and research duties.
Variants[edit | edit source]
Nebula class[edit | edit source]Nebula class is an iconic 24th century design and sibling to the Galaxy class. It is no smaller than the Galaxy class, consisting largely of the same structural components in largely the same configuration, though it is more specialized than the Galaxy.

Abililites[edit | edit source]
This vessel includes the [Console - Universal - Tachyon Detection Field]. It gives the ship a strong boost to sensing abilities, as well as a small boost to cloak detection. The Tachyon Detection Field can be removed and equipped on any vessel.
Subsystem Targeting[edit source]
The Advanced Research Vessel comes with built-in Subsystem Targeting abilities. These built-in abilities stay at Rank I and do not automatically rank up when acquiring higher tier Science starships. They are separate from Subsystem Targeting abilities gained through Tactical Space Bridge officer abilities.
- Target Auxiliary Subsystems I
- Target Weapons Subsystems I
- Target Engines Subsystems I
- Target Shields Subsystems I
Activating a subsystem targeting ability will upgrade all energy weapons to inflict a stacking power drain on the foe's targeted subsystem for the next 10 seconds. They will also have a small chance to knock the targeted subsystem offline for a short duration.
Sensor Analysis[edit source]
Sensor Analysis is an active toggle ability. While maintaining a Sensor Lock on a target, the player gains a stacking effect that either improves the damage and power drain against an enemy, or improves any heal directed towards an ally. This effect stacks every 3 seconds, to a maximum of 6 stacks after 18 continuous seconds. To maintain the desired effect, the player must hold the sensor lock.
Standard Configuration[edit | edit source]
Federation starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.

Notes[edit | edit source]
- As of Season 5, the Advanced Research Vessel can only be purchased via the C-Store.
- The Nebula-class was remodeled in November 2016 to more closely match the ship's on-screen appearance in the 24th century Star Trek television shows.
