Admiralty System/Event

An Event (Hazard) in the Admiralty System is used to modify an Admiralty System Assignment. Events are randomized modifiers which affect the assignment in may ways. All Events have a beneficial aspect to them, which is either

  • Lower requirements, or
  • Higher critical success chance. This sometimes comes with either:
    • Additional rewards, or
    • Quicker post-assignment ship maintenance

However, most events with a higher critical success chance will also make the assignment more difficult to succeed due to an increase in assignment's requirements. Unlike assignment rewards, event rewards do not increase on a critical success outcome.

While each Campaign has its own pool of Assignments and queue, the pool of Events is shared across all Campaigns. Each Assignment gets a random Event assigned, when it moves from the 'On Deck' queue to the list of plannable/passable Assignments.
