Quantum Absorption is a Singularity Core ability. It is possibly the most useful of all the singularity abilities. When activated, it will provide an instant shield heal, as well as a shield heal over time, and 'buffer' hit points, all based on the level of the charge. Buffer hit points are not a heal, rather, it's like having a temporary shell over your ship.

If you cloak your ship after using quantum absorption, the shield heal will still be in effect, meaning that not only can you repair damaged shields while not being hit, but you can have shields active while cloaked, for the duration of the ability.

This ability can effectively be considered a second wind. For it to be at its most powerful, you'll want to have a full five singularity charges, which charge over time from being in combat. Normally, the full five are ready just as your shields are about to go down, and when used, brings them right back up. This is made even more effective by shield repair abilities.

  • Locale: Space
  • Game Description: You drain your Singularity Core to reinforce your hull, which grants you a high amount of temporary hit points for 30 seconds. Additionally you gain an immediate shield heal over time for 15 seconds. The amount of granted temporary hit points and the strength of the shield heal scale with your Singularity Level.
