The Citadel-class dreadnought is a massive Voth dreadnought used as both a city ship and a combat vessel. A number of them participate in the Voth encroachment of the Solanae Dyson Sphere in 2409. It typically requires multiple ships working together to defeat such a vessel.

- “Unsafe Practices”: A Citadel Dreadnought is shown fighting an unknown enemy.
- “Unsavory Actions”: Nelen Exil tells the player that the Voth are engaged in a fierce war with an enemy threatening their home territory, a cutscene showing a Citadel Dreadnought engaging the unseen aggressor.
- “A Step Between Stars”: A Citadel Dreadnought enters the Jenolan Dyson Sphere via an Iconian Gateway, but is destroyed soon after by the Undine.
- “Revelations”: Two ships of the class assist in the defense of the Turei homeworld but are destroyed by the Vaadwaur.
