Carrier
The Tholian Recluse Carrier is an Admiral (Tier 5) level Carrier. This ship is available to both Federation and KDF players.
The Tholian Recluse Carrier comes with a [Console - Universal - Tholian Tetryon Grid].
The Tholian Recluse Carrier also comes with a [Thermionic Torpedo Launcher], which has a chance to drain weapon and engine power from a target.
Obtaining
The Tholian Recluse Carrier is available from the Lobi Crystal Consortium for 800 . They may also be found on the exchange, although they may be quite expensive.
Overview
Recent conflicts with the Tholian Assembly have resulted in a handful of captured Tholian vessels. Tholian technology is very different from other Alpha Quadrant powers, and these vessels are prized as opportunities for study as well as new combat vessels. The Tholians' natural environment is hostile to most humanoids, and their ship interiors were designed to support that environment. Much effort has gone into simply modifying the interiors to let personnel board these vessels without environmental suits.
The Tholian Recluse Carrier comes with two hangar bays of Tholian Widow Fighters. Widow fighters are armed with Tetryon Beams and Quantum Torpedoes. The Widows are also designed to work with the Recluse's Tholian Tetryon Grid. This console creates a grid of tetryon Energy that buffs ally energy damage and causes your Tholian Widow Fighters to reflect two tetryon beam attacks at nearby enemy targets. Tholian Widow Fighters and the Tetryon Grid console may only be equipped on the Tholian Recluse Carrier.
Performance
In spite of the poor Turn Rate value, the Recluse Carrier has better maneuverability than the Caitian Atrox Carrier and Vo'quv Carrier. Its inertia value is 30 (Caitian Atrox : 20), and the impulse modifier is higher (0.18 vs 0.15), which is enough to perform most of the tasks expected of a Carrier.
The Universal Commander Bridge Officer slot allows the players to focus on whatever kind of gameplay they want. It can be turned into a huge tank with an Commander Engineering, or a pure Science ship with a Commander Science Bridge Officer. The Carrier's Tholian Widow Fighter bays, should be discarded as soon as you have the capability to acquire Elite Tholian Mesh Weaver which can deploy frigates that combine Attack Pattern Beta 3 and Beam Array Fire at Will 3 to heavily debuff enemies' damage resistance.
Standard Configuration
These starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.

Abilities
Science vessels come with built-in abilities. These abilities do not automatically rank up when acquiring higher tier Science starships and must be gained through Tactical Space Bridge officer abilities.

This ship can launch attack wings of Tholian Widow Fighters in its standard configuration, though other craft can be equipped to be launched. The carrier can also give commands to those craft to order them to attack or defend selected targets.
After activating a subsystem targeting ability, the player will have 30 seconds to attack an enemy ship with any form of beam weapon. The attack will lower power to that system, and have a small chance of completely taking the system offline. If the system is taken offline it renders all abilities that use that subsystem temporarily inert. For example, if you target the shields and subsequently take them offline, then all of the enemies shield facings will go down.
