User:Jacobsodinforever2000 Please do not move the warp core note to the very bottom of the page away from warp core section. Noone visiting the page to learn about the core will read the note there.
Please avoid removing genuine contents without discussing such removal in the talk page first. Hypothetical items are already used in other pages and are highly useful to see at a glance which modifiers an item provides. Example Personal_Mobility_Shield. --Trajos (talk) 11:41, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
- Notes have traditionally been at the bottom of the page and that has been where all extra information about the item is contained. Short of receiving direction from Damixon SFC3 or PiralDorrm that is where I will continue to move said information. Jacobsodinforever2000 (talk) 18:33, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
- Set pages consist of several items so in its current format it shows less information than individual item pages (especially for weapons which are part of the set - no performance section). Same like we introduced the Upgrade sections for each item, we could also have notes section if something can be added to improve it. I think Trajos has a valid point, it is better to have info related to warp core in that section, while some general notes about set itself can go in the notes at the bottom. Also, in this case, added notes perfectly fit in that gap between two items so it isn't making that section too long. --Damixon (talk) 19:07, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
- Acknowledged.
- In general, may I kindly encourage the whole team of wiki editors when updating and especially reverting additions made by others, to always prefer flexibility to rigidity; and moreover, to consider the big picture goal of this wiki, not only traditions or specific formatting recommendations. The big picture goal should be to provide as much useful and current information that is easy to access and navigate, to as many STO players as possible, thus making it easier and more fun for them to play the game. Put yourself in the shoes of a 2 week-long silver account player with 50,000 energy credits in their pocket who is deciding which warp core to equip for their Tour the Galaxy, and consider whether the wiki is helping them with that or not, and only revert the change if it does not. In addition, may I encourage all the editors to be working cooperatively (not competitively) as a team with each other, to add and maintain as much current and useful information as possible to make this the prime information resource for all STO players. --Trajos (talk) 21:30, 27 November 2017
