Bind on Equip

Bind on Equip (often shortened to BoE) is a term for any item that is bound to a player upon equipping it to a ship or character Bound items cannot be sold on the Exchange or traded to another player. Bound items can be sold to Vendors. However, Bind on Equip items can be sold on the Exchange if the item hasn't experience from equipping to a ship or character.
