Wells Temporal Science Vessel

The Wells Temporal Science Vessel is a 29th Century Timeship recovered from the Tholian Assembly. Most of the advanced technology from these ships have been stripped, and have been replaced with contemporary equipment.
This ship appears to be the same class as the Federation Timeship encountered by Captain Kathryn Janeway in 2375. As Janeway described in a classified debriefing, "The U.S.S. Relativity's mission was to protect the timeline from temporal incursions.". The Federation's interest in these vessels cannot be understated.
Variants[edit | edit source]
Wells class[edit | edit source]Caitian Atrox Carrier), the Wells shares many traits with atmospheric aircraft, featuring distinct wing-like projections from the rear hull, a tapered, pointed nose, and aerodynamic profile. The Wells has no easily identified warp nacelles, and its deflector sits in a bulge on the ventral surface of the rear hull. When activating its Temporal Backstep ability, plumes of bright energy erupt from round blisters on the top and bottom of its "wings".
Performance[edit | edit source]
The Wells Temporal Science Vessel performs exceptionally well in multiple roles. It has more crew than the Long Range Science Vessel Retrofit (LRSV-R) and fewer crew than the Reconnaissance Science Vessel (RSV). It has greater turning speed, hull, as well as a much greater shield strength than either the RSV or LRSV-R. Its greater turn rate makes this ship great for the use of a Dual Beam Bank and Turret combination, even more so than the RSV. Like the RSV, it has a third Tactical Console slot, and has just as many Science and Engineering slots as the LRSV-R.
Its shield strength combined with the right abilities, including its Temporal Backstep ability, gives this science vessel the capability to fill a tanking role. Unlike the Reconnaissance Science Vessel and Long Range Science Vessel Retrofit , this ship has two Universal Bridge Officer slots: One Lt. Commander and one Lieutenant, which gives you a multitude of build methods to fill supportive, offensive or defensive roles.

Standard Configuration[edit | edit source]
Federation starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.
Abilities[edit | edit source]
Federation Science vessels come with built-in abilities. These abilities do not automatically rank up when acquiring higher tier Science starships and must be gained through Tactical Space Bridge officer abilities.

- Sensor Analysis
After activating a subsystem targeting ability, the player will have 30 seconds to attack an enemy ship with any form of beam weapon. The attack will lower power to that system, and have a small chance of completely taking the system offline. If the system is taken offline it renders all abilities that use that subsystem temporarily inert. For example, if you target the shields and subsequently take them offline, then all of the enemies shield facings will go down.
The Sensor Analysis passive ability grants the player a stacking damage bonus of 3.33% per minute against a single target whilst the player maintains target lock on an enemy. Once the player switches targets the bonus is reset.
Starship Mastery[edit | edit source]
Earning skill points while commanding this ship will progressively unlock bonus new passive abilities.
