Vor'cha Battle Cruiser Retrofit

The Vor'cha Battle Cruiser Retrofit is a Brigadier General (Tier 5) level Klingon Battle Cruiser. This Retrofit vessel is a heavily modified version of the Vor'cha Battle Cruiser (tier 4). The Klingon Defense Force upgraded this variant with the latest technology seized by the Empire in the early 25th century.
Variants[edit | edit source]
Vor'cha class[edit | edit source]Vor'cha class was the main attack cruiser of the Klingon Defense Force during the mid-24th century. One of the first Klingon cruisers to deviate from the classic design of vessels like the K't'inga class or D7 class, the Vor'cha has a forked forward section housing the main forward battery. The command section is further back and the neck thicker to accommodate more crew quarters and internal systems.

Tor'Kaht class[edit | edit source]Vo'Quv carrier. This costume is only unlocked by obtaining the Tor'Kaht class from the Fleet store, or by having purchased the Tor'Kaht skin from the C-Store for the Vor'cha class prior to Season 6.
Performance[edit | edit source]
Outside of Fleet Vessels, the Vor'cha Retrofit is one of the best offense-orientated choices a KDF player can take, and would suit a Tactical or Engineering Captain well. Compared to its Tier 4 variant it boasts superior Hull and Shield Strength, an extra aft weapon slot, better Bridge Officer seating (for an extra Ensign Tactical and a Lt Commander Engineering) and extra Tactical and Engineering consoles.
The ship, while severely lacking in Science abilities, boasts an excellent Engineering setup, backed by a strong secondary Tactical setup in both Bridge Officers and Consoles. Its Turn Rate (10) is excellent for such a large ship, and when combined with its ability to take Dual Cannons and Cloak, it perfectly suited for Alpha strikes, as it can first decloak and deal a massive amount of punishment, before relying on its Engineering abilities and large crew to survive the inevitable counterstrike.
The ship's major flaw is its maneuverability. While it can easily outclass any Federation Cruiser, its Turn Rate and Inertia Rating are considerably slower than Federation Escorts, Klingon Bird-of-Prey vessels and many Romulan Warbirds. Players should consider utilizing Ability: Evasive Maneuvers, Ability: Auxiliary to Battery and possibly Ability: Emergency Power to Engines to help speed up its maneuverability significantly.
