Varanus Fleet Support Vessel
The Varanus Fleet Support Vessel is a General (Tier 5) level Klingon Support Vessel. Players can obtain the vessel through the Shipyard for 20,000 and 4 , as long as the player's Fleet has a Tier III shipyard.
Variants[edit | edit source]
Varanus class[edit | edit source]Gorn Hegemony design, which was absorbed into the Klingon Defense Force. The vessel has a long, narrow, compact design with warp nacelles mounted close to the primary hull.
Performance[edit | edit source]
More durable than the Varanus Support Vessel due to the extra Hull and Shield Strength afforded by being a Fleet vessel, the Fleet Varanus excels at the same support abilities the original Varanus is good at, making it one of the best choices for a Klingon Science captain. Rather oddly, the Fleet Varanus has an extra Tactical Console - an odd choice for such a Science-themed ship - especially odd considering the ship has only a single Lieutenant Tactical Bridge Officer slot.

Standard Configuration[edit | edit source]
Klingon starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.
Abilities[edit | edit source]
Klingon Support Vessels come with built-in abilities. These abilities do not automatically rank up when acquiring higher tier fleet support starships.

- Sensor Analysis
After activating a subsystem targeting ability, the player will have 30 seconds to attack an enemy ship with any form of beam weapon. The attack will lower power to that system, and have a small chance of completely taking the system offline. If the system is taken offline it renders all abilities that use that subsystem temporarily inert. For example, if you target the shields and subsequently take them offline, then all of the enemies shield facings will go down.
The Sensor Analysis passive ability grants the player a stacking damage bonus of 3.33% per minute against a single target whilst the player maintains target lock on an enemy. Once the player switches targets the bonus is reset.
