Tholian Recluse Carrier
- This page is for the playable ship. See Tholian Recluse for the NPC ship.
The Tholian Recluse Carrier is an Admiral (Tier 5) level Carrier. his ship is available to Federation, Romulan Republic, and KDF players at the Lobi Crystal Consortium for 800. While packed, this ship can be traded on the Exchange. Once unpacked, it will be bound to the character that opens it and can no longer be traded.
Overview[edit | edit source]
Recent conflicts with the Tholian Assembly have resulted in a handful of captured Tholian vessels. Tholian technology is very different from other Alpha Quadrant powers, and these vessels are prized as opportunities for study as well as new combat vessels. The Tholians' natural environment is hostile to most humanoids, and their ship interiors were designed to support that environment. Much effort has gone into simply modifying the interiors to let personnel board these vessels without environmental suits.
The Tholian Recluse Carrier comes with a [Console - Universal - Tholian Tetryon Grid]. This console creates a grid of tetryon Energy that buffs ally energy damage and causes your Tholian Widow Fighters to reflect two tetryon beam attacks at nearby enemy targets.
It also comes with a [Thermionic Torpedo Launcher], which has a chance to drain weapon and engine power from a target.

Abilities[edit | edit source]
This vessel can utilize [Console - Universal - Tholian Web Generator] and [Console - Universal - Tholian Web Cannon] from the other two Tholian starships. By default, it comes equipped with [Console - Universal - Tholian Tetryon Grid]. These three consoles form the Tholian Technologies Set.
If all three consoles are equipped, player gains access to:
Subsystem Targeting[edit | edit source]
Science vessels come with built-in subsystem targeting abilities. These abilities do not automatically rank up when acquiring higher tier Science starships and must be gained through Tactical Space Bridge officer abilities.
- Beam Target Auxiliary Subsystems I
- Beam Target Weapons Subsystems I
- Beam Target Engines Subsystems I
- Beam Target Shields Subsystems I
After activating a subsystem targeting ability, the player has 30 seconds to attack an enemy ship with any form of beam weapon. The attack will lower power to that system, and have a small chance of completely taking the system offline. If the system is taken offline it renders all abilities that use that subsystem temporarily inert. For example, if the player targets shields and subsequently takes them offline, then all of the enemies shield facings will go down.
Sensor Analysis[edit | edit source]
Sensor Analysis is an active toggle ability. While maintaining a Sensor Lock on a target, the player gains a stacking effect that either improves damage and power drain against an enemy, or improves any heal directed towards an ally.
When the player uses Sensor Analysis on a target, it produces an effect that stacks every 3 seconds, to a maximum of 6 stacks after 18 continuous seconds. To maintain the desired effect, the player must then hold sensor lock.
Hangar Bay[edit | edit source]
Tholian Recluse Carrier comes with two hangar bays of Tholian Widow Fighters. Widow fighters are armed with Tetryon Beams and Quantum Torpedoes. The Widows are also designed to work with the Recluse's Tholian Tetryon Grid.
