Tactical Consoles improve your starships ability to attack with weapons, be it energy based (cannons, beams) or kinetic based (torpedoes, mines). There are several different types with many different names.

These consoles affect weapons of any damage type, but only affect a certain class of weapons such as beams, cannons, torpedoes or mines, and provide a smaller bonus than the damage specific consoles.

All generic tactical consoles give the same bonus to their relevant weapon damage as a percentage, as shown below.
