Engineer captains who learn 3 ranks of this skill will unlock the ability to train Bridge Officers in Shield Recharge III. Engineer captains who learn 6 ranks of this skill will unlock the ability to train Bridge Officers in Engineering Team III.

Repairs is a ground skill available to all Starfleet and KDF Engineering Lt. Commanders. Each increment of this skill costs 1,500 skillpoints.
