Science Vessel Retrofit
The Science Vessel Retrofit is an Admiral (Tier 5) level Federation Cruiser vessel. Players can obtain the vessel through the Shipyard for 200,000
, as long as the player's Fleet has a Tier III shipyard.
This is a retrofit of the Lieutenant Commander level Science Vessel.

[edit] Variants
[edit] Nova class
The Nova class was designed for short-term planetary research missions. It was placed in service starting in the mid-to-late 24th century. It is not typically suitable for combat operations. In Star Trek canon, The Nova design has a maximum speed of warp 8 and approximately eighty crew members.
One unique feature of the Nova class is its Waverider shuttle, which is located in a special docking port on the ventral side of the primary hull, similar to that of the Aeroshuttle on the Intrepid-class. This feature has been omitted from the game however. The Nova Class also shares a nacelle design in-game with the Oslo Class Heavy Escort.
[edit] Aurora class
Like its sister Nova class ships, the Aurora class vessels were designed for short-range scientific missions, as well as scouting during military operations. Its slim, aerodynamic design was intended to maximize the efficiency of its high-frequency warp envelope.[edit] Quasar class
Named for the distant galaxies that are the most luminous objects in the universe, the Quasar class boasts some of the most advanced technology available for small scouting and science vessels. It and its sister ships are equipped with deflector shields to prevent space debris and objects from damaging the starship.[edit] Rhode Island class
The Rhode Island class is a refit of the Nova class for the 25th century. The first vessel of its kind, USS Rhode Island was commanded by Captain Harry Kim. This class is available after purchase of the Science Vessel Retrofit from the C-Store.[edit] Performance

Sensor Analysis
After activating a subsystem targeting ability, the player will have 30 seconds to attack an enemy ship with any form of beam weapon. The attack will lower power to that system, and have a small chance of completely taking the system offline. If the system is taken offline it renders all abilities that use that subsystem temporarily inert. For example, if you target the shields and subsequently take them offline, then all of the enemies shield facings will go down.
The Sensor Analysis passive ability grants the player a stacking damage bonus of 3.33% per minute against a single target whilst the player maintains target lock on an enemy. Once the player switches targets the bonus is reset.
