Rapid Reload Transphasic Torpedo Launchers are torpedo based weapons available for all faction starships. They have a 90° firing arc. This weapon has microfriction autoloaders and superconducting capacitors that reduce the reload time, which allows the weapon to fire 20% faster.

Transphasic weapons have a 40% bonus to shield penetration power. This weapon also has a +20 Critical Severity bonus, and a +10% Accuracy bonus.

Shield Penetration

The 40% shield penetration bonus works by reducing the innate penetration resistance of shields. The penetration resistance is 90% for most shields, and it will be reduced to 54% against transphasic weapons, which is equivalent to a bleedthrough of 46%. For resilient shields, the bleedthrough will be 43% against transphasic weapons.

Acquisition

This item is obtained from “Cold Comfort”, from the featured series Cold War.

Since this item is not unique, players can obtain it more than once via episode replay. Replaying this mission at higher levels will grant a level-appropriate Mark version of this weapon, up to and including Mk XI.

Modifiers

There are several factors that can affect weapon performance. These include modifier suffixes, weapon power, spent player skill points, consoles, and equipment set bonuses.

Modifier Suffix

Rapid Reload Transphasic Torpedo Launchers do not come with modifiers suffixes, as other weapons normally do, as they are already a Very Rare item.
