QulDun Bird-of-Prey
The QulDun Bird-of-Prey is a Lieutenant Commander (Tier 2) level Klingon Bird-of-Prey vessel. Although it features one less point into it's turn rate than the B'rel Bird-of-Prey, this is not noticeable and the ship still maneuvers extremely well. The ship benefits from an extra forward weapon and tactical console slot, and is capable of housing one universal Lieutenant station.
Since Season 5, this ship is no longer available for requisition since KDF players start at Commander.

[edit] Variants
[edit] QulDun class
The QulDun class is slightly different to the B'rel class model that Klingon captains first experience. Although using a classic Klingon design for the starship, it features no feathered wing pattern on its wings. The bridge section of the hull is more pointed and not as big as the B'rel. The main hull is also slightly larger.[edit] Performance
The QulDun Bird-of-Prey is an extremely versatile starship. Due to its loss of a bridge officer slot and lack of bonus power compared to the Somraw Raptor, the QulDun Bird-of-Prey has a lower maximum damage potential. However it is much more flexible and agile; more than a match for the tier 2 Federation Escort.
Ironically, the tier 1 B'rel Bird-of-Prey comes with significantly better equipment as standard. The Uncommon Klingon Standard Issue shield array is stronger than a [Covariant Shield Array Mk IV], so players may wish to invest in a better Shield Array on the Exchange or elsewhere.
[edit] Standard Configuration
Klingon starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.

[edit] Abilities
Most Klingon vessels are equipped with a cloaking device. Birds-of-Prey are equipped with a battle cloak that can be activated whilst at Red Alert, giving the QulDun Bird-of-Prey a significant advantage.
