The Qin Heavy Raptor is a Brigadier General (Tier 5) level Klingon Raptor vessel. The Heavy Raptor is the most powerful available to players of the Klingon Empire.

Qin class

Qin class

The Qin class design is not as progressive compared to the other types. It loses its red nacelles, has smaller wings (in ratio to the size of the vessels) and the neck stem is much smaller due to an enlarged hull at the fore section. The overall structure is vaguely reminiscent of early Andorian Kumari Class vessels due to the wings structural design, as well as the forward hulls size being dwarfed by the forward command module. Regardless, it has a very strong Klingon flavor to its overall design.

The Birok Raptor is a variant of the Qin Raptor, and is available at the General rank.

Performance

With its ability to mount dual cannons, 3 tactical bridge officer stations, significant focus on weapon power and it's cloaking capability, Heavy Raptor has the most destructive potential of all ships in Klingon Defense Force.

Compared to Federation Starfleet ships, Heavy Raptors are most similar to Tactical Escort Retrofit. Heavy Raptors are larger vessels, with slightly stronger hulls and much more crew capacity, but they have slightly weaker shields and lower turn rate.
