PvE Queue
PvE Queues were introduced in Season Four as a way to find other players to join in for fleet actions. With later seasons the UI of the queue menu was revamped and expanded to include Special Task Force missions, other PvE group missions and some events. They can be accessed by clicking the PvE Queues button on the bottom of the navigation menu or by clicking the PvE thumbnail in the Mission Journal.

[edit] Public Queues
Public queues are the first menu seen (Quick Play tab) and require eight players to start (the exception is “Starbase 24” which can start initially with 5, but cannot have more than 10 players) with up to 20 in a queue. If after five minutes the queue hasn't launched, the minimum number of players to start is reduced to five. To queue up, select the fleet action and press the Join Queue button on bottom right. Queues are split by rank:
- Levels 3-9
- Levels 10-19
- Levels 20-29
- Levels 30-39
- Levels 40-49
- Level 50
A player can join a fleet action already in progress up to 15 minutes after it has started.
With Season 5, the Crystalline Entity fleet action is now available in public queues only as a scheduled event. It can be played via a private queue at anytime.
[edit] Private Queues
Private queues can be created (with an optional password) that can hold up to four teams of 5 (20 players) and requires five players to start. To do so, click the Create Private tab and then the map you wish to use (you can change it later), then Create and type in a game name and (optional) password.
You can join a private queue by clicking Join Existing tab and private queues will be those with a name other than "<Map Name> Fleet Action".
The fleet actions require a certain level to be unlocked and cannot be played below that level. The queues can also be sorted based on ground, space, public private, unlocked, and locked.
[edit] Later additions
Four events were added to the PvE queue for Season 5 -- one ground and space mission each for the Federation and Klingons. The "group finder" for cross-faction Special Task Force missions and other episodes was added with Season 5.
For Season 7, the UI of the PvE queue was completely revamped. [1]
