Odyssey Tactical Cruiser
The Odyssey Tactical Cruiser is an Admiral (Tier 5) level Federation Cruiser vessel, specifically a variant of the Odyssey Star Cruiser, intended to enhance extended operation during multipurpose missions. The EPS systems have been balanced to provide equal power generation across all primary systems. Redundant power generation systems and improved warp field design also marks the return of saucer separation to Starfleet cruisers after an extended absence.
Players must purchase this ship through the Cryptic Store at a cost of 2,500 , or a 3-pack of Odyssey variants for 5,000 .
Variants[edit | edit source]
Odyssey class[edit | edit source]
The Odyssey class is the largest vessel ever created by Starfleet. Its massive size makes it very resilient, but its turn rate is reduced by the bulk of the vessel. The Odyssey's unique split saucer pylon reduces subspace wake at higher warp speeds. The Odyssey is designed as an extreme long-range vessel, and can operate for long periods of time away from support. Because of this, it is the most versatile cruiser ever developed by the Starfleet Corps of Engineers.
Performance[edit | edit source]
Odyssey Cruisers feature a massive size and bulk unseen previously by Starfleet, which grants it excellent resiliency under fire. That same bulk restricts its turn rate and maneuverability, necessitating a balanced weapon layout that can handle an enemy at all sides without needing to turn often. An RCS Accelerator Console can help mitigate this design choice.
The most unique feature of the Odyssey class is the dual-neck design. This design reduces subspace wake left by the starship while travelling under slipstream drive, allowing the ship to remain in slipstream for twice as long as normal.
Because of its 3 tactical slots the Tactical Odyssey Cruiser has superior firepower compared to the Science and Operations Odysseys, this is good for tactical players as damage could be maximized for the energy type the player chooses on beam arrays however it is not recommend that the player totally uses beam arrays in all of the weapon slots as the Tactical Odyssey still lacks certain amounts of DPS firepower so it's best to include at least 2 torpedo launchers (one forward, one aft) to compensate for the lack of DPS.
However the Tactical Odyssey also lacks the engineering capabilities compared to the Operations Odyssey, this means that the Tactical Odyssey is aimed at dealing more damage rather than healing it. On the other hand the Tactical Odyssey still has 3 science slots to retain the science abilities that help compensate for the lack of engineering.

|IV||Armored Hull||+10% Hull Hitpoints.|
Abilities[edit | edit source]
The Advanced Quantum Slipstream Drive ability allows the Odyssey class starship to travel at Warp 20 for 60 seconds instead of the normal 30 seconds in sector space.
Aquarius Escort[edit | edit source]
The Tactical version also includes an Aquarius Escort console. The Aquarius Escort is a mini ship which detaches from the aft mission pod on the Odyssey, which will attack your selected target. It comes equipped with Phaser Quad Cannons, Phaser Turrets, Point Defense System and Quantum Torpedoes. When it is destroyed it will return to your ship and will take 5 mintues to recharge and be usable again.
The Aquarius Escort ability allows the Odyssey class starship to have its aft mission pod become a seperate fighting force.
Cruiser Commands[edit | edit source]
As a cruiser, this ship supports the following cruiser commands
- Ability: Strategic Maneuvering
- Ability: Shield Frequency Modulation
- Ability: Weapon System Efficiency
- Ability: Attract Fire
Standard Configuration[edit | edit source]
Federation starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.
