I was quite impressed with the successful outcome of the recent trade negotiations at Starbase 39-Sierra, and I am pleased to invite the Federation to send an envoy to the Defera system for a more formal meeting.
This could be a great opportunity for both of our peoples. The Federation has requested an alliance with us on several occasions, but my people's adherence to Balance has prevented it. Now they are more open to the idea of ties with other worlds.
Perhaps your visit will be the start of a lasting friendship between our peoples.

I understand that diplomacy can be seen as a task unworthy of a warrior in the Klingon Empire, but I sincerely believe that you are the best person for this task.
Your High Council has agree to send a representative to Defera for formal diplomatic discussions. You will be that representative.
We have been friends of the Empire since the time of Emperor Sompek. We were happy to assist his fleet in time of need, and we have been most ... gratified by your loyalty to us over the years since then.

- In the initial version of this mission you could obtain a piece of a Preservers star chart by standing in the center circle of the ruins with your captain and ordering your bridge offices or team mates to stand on the corner circles. In a Forum post, Daniel Stahl confirmed, that this piece will be referenced in a later episode. Although you can not obtain it on the social version of the Defera map, you will get an opportunity to retrieve the map in a later mission. Since build ST.5.20100830a.5 the puzzle has been disabled until it is needed for the unfolding story arc.
- For the first Featured Episode Rerun week (May 5-11, 2011) new mission rewards were added to this episode, including making the rewards previously only available through mission replay available for selection on the first run, adding the [Polarized Parabolic Deflector] (a permanent addition to the mission rewards), and adding the choice of level-appropriate badges for the duration of the Rerun week.
- At low levels, the polaron weapon is replaced with a disruptor equivalent.

- A plant. Located under a giant stone arch, outside the perimeter of the city on the North side (only during specific re-runs). The plant has a giant eye.
