[] Variants

[] Intrepid class

Intrepid class

The was the most technologically advanced ship of its kind in 2371. The design was considered a success and paved the way for many other ships designs after U.S.S. Voyager experienced a seven year stint in the Delta Quadrant without a single visit to a Federation Starbase.

[] Cochrane class

Cochrane class
This rugged design was named after the grandfather and Human inventor of Warp Drive Dr. . While not the first craft to don his name, this class meets the standards and set forth as the toughest of Intrepid based designs. The Saucer is longer, the hull is shorter and nacelles are also hefty. Utopia Planitia designers made adjustments so that it could be even more self sufficient outside of Federation borders.

[] Discovery class

Discovery class
After creating the successful Intrepid class, the Utopia Planitia designers decide to update the design. Thus in the year 2400, Discovery was born. It was designed to be just as capable as Cochrane and Intrepid and even more advanced. A brand new nacelle design and highly experimental pylon fins were aimed at creating a more efficient and stable flight during warp travel when nacelles were in the upward position.

[] Bellerophon class

Bellerophon class
The Bellerophon class is based on the iconic Intrepid class, but with a more advanced design. The Bellerophon class has a unique half-moon shaped main deflector and distinctive blue bussard collectors, as well as the whiter hull color found in 25th century starship designs. This class is available after purchasing the for 1,500 from the .

[] Performance

This retrofit features much the same as its Tier 4 variant, with a few changes. It gains an extra Science console, and gains slots for two more Science bridge officers, though the Lt. slot was replaced with a second Engineering bridge officer. The extra Science and Engineering powers improve this ship's survivability and power, with the same maneuverability as it's Tier 4 variant. When this is combined with the ship's natural subsystem targeting and the last resort Ablative Generators, players will survive better on their own, and be an immense help to allies.

When you compare the retrofit to it's counterparts ( and ), it has less hull, shield strength, and number of crew than either of them, along with losing one console slot (/, depending on the comparison). While the retrofit's turn rate is higher than the Deep Space's, it is slightly less than the Reconnaissance's. While the other two ships had their number of Science bridge officers equal with another profession (Tactical for Reconnaissance, Engineering for Deep Space), the retrofit is much more Science oriented.

[] Standard Configuration

Federation come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.

[] Abilities

Federation Retrofit vessels come with built-in abilities. These abilities do not automatically rank up when acquiring higher tier Retrofit starships.

The Ablative Generator disables shields and energy weapons and deploys armor, giving the ship a stacking 90% damage resistance bonus.

After activating a subsystem targeting ability, the player will have 30 seconds to attack an enemy ship with any form of beam weapon. The attack will lower power to that system, and have a small chance of completely taking the system offline. If the system is taken offline it renders all abilities that use that subsystem temporarily inert. For example, if you target the shields and subsequently take them offline, then all of the enemies shield facings will go down.

The Sensor Analysis passive ability grants the player a stacking damage bonus of 3.33% per minute against a single target whilst the player maintains target lock on an enemy. Once the player switches targets the bonus is reset.
