[edit] Ch'tang class
The Ch'tang variant has a very staggered wingspan and foreign hull extremities. This Bird-Of-Prey design was clearly influenced by engineers of the KDF's allies.[edit] Ki'tang class
The Ki'tang class has very angular design and a much more narrow wing-span than the lower model Birds-of-Prey. It re-introduces the feathered wing design which was not seen since the B'rel class.[edit] Performance
Initially the Ki'tang Bird-of-Prey seems like a minor upgrade of the Commander level Norgh Bird-of-Prey, having the same number of weapon slots. The Ki'tang though is a much more powerful vessel due to its Commander level bridge officer station and additional console slots. These allow for more damage output and more survivability at the same time.
The Ki'tang Bird-of-Prey excels at alpha strikes and its very high maneuverability and battle cloak allows it to escape afterwards.

Most Klingon vessels are equipped with a cloaking device. Birds-of-Prey are equipped with a battle cloak that can be activated whilst at Red Alert, giving the Ch'Tang Bird-of-Prey a significant advantage.
