Jem'Hadar Combat Impulse Engines are a scaling mission reward impulse engine from “Operation Gamma”, the third mission in the featured series The 2800. It is also part of the Jem'Hadar Space Set.

Jem'Hadar ships are small and fast. Their impulse engines can divert power from non-critical systems to increase speed and weapon power in combat. Jem'Hadar ships also need to be maneuverable, so their engines have increased turn rates that can be the difference between victory and death

Full Impulse draws the power from all of your systems and redirects it to engines. Can only be used out of combat.

Power Bonus[edit | edit source]

The Jem'Hadar Combat Impulse Engines provide a Weapons Subsystem Power buff in two parts. There is a flat +2.5 to Weapons power that occurs at all power settings. There is also an "efficient" buff that is applied in addition to the +2.5, but this second increase varies inversely to your ship's Weapons power level setting.

This means, for example, in the default "Attack Mode" the engines supply only +2.5 additional Weapons power, but in "Speed Mode" (when the least power is attributed to Weapons) the Jem'Hadar Combat Impulse Engines add a bonus +7.5 Weapons power.
