Fleet Deep Space Science Vessel
The Fleet Deep Space Science Vessel is an Admiral (Tier 5) level Federation Science Vessel vessel. Players can obtain the vessel through the Shipyard for 20,000 and 4 , as long as the player's Fleet has a Tier I shipyard.
Designed with a rekindled interest of space exploration after the Dominion Wars, this vessel is equipped with many tools necessary to chart the stars and guide Starfleet into a new age of discovery. The Deep Space Science Vessel has extra Engineering facilities made necessary to make its own repairs or act as a support ship for fleets. Also of note, all Deep Space Science Vessels carry an under-slung secondary array, which can be removed through the starship customization in-game.
Variants[edit | edit source]
Nimbus class[edit | edit source]
This class was previously available as an extra ship skin at the C-Store, but as of Season 6 is exclusive to the Fleet Deep Space Science Vessel. Players who purchased the skin prior to the Season 6 update may still use the Nimbus skin on any Deep Space Science Vessels or Mirror Universe Reconnaissance Science Vessels they own.
Destiny class[edit | edit source]shikamaru317. He stated that he named the vessel in memory of his sister who died in 2001 who was also called Destiny. It is the smallest of the three classes of Deep Space Science Vessel.

Performance[edit | edit source]
Where the Fleet Reconnaissance Science Vessel is ideal for Tactical Captains, the Fleet Deep Space Science Vessel is one of the strongest Science-focused vessels available to Federation players at this tier. 5 Science Consoles and 2 high level Science Bridge Officer slots make this an excellent Science ship, well suited to Shield Tanking and healing as well as support abilities. Two Engineering Bridge Officer slots add some variety to the ship's setup, allowing it to keep itself alive for longer. However, in terms of DPS the ship falls badly behind the Fleet RSV and the Fleet Science Vessel Retrofit due to its limited Tactical abilities. With the right consoles and Bridge Officer abilities it can still hit hard, but ultimately it is better suited to a support role.
Comparison with Rear Admiral Variant[edit | edit source]

Standard Configuration[edit | edit source]
Federation starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.
Abilities[edit | edit source]
Federation Science vessels come with built-in abilities. These abilities do not automatically rank up when acquiring higher tier Science starships and must be gained through Tactical Space Bridge officer abilities.
- Beam Target Auxiliary Subsystems I
- Beam Target Weapons Subsystems I
- Beam Target Engines Subsystems I
- Beam Target Shields Subsystems I
- Sensor Analysis
After activating a subsystem targeting ability, the player will have 30 seconds to attack an enemy ship with any form of beam weapon. The attack will lower power to that system, and have a small chance of completely taking the system offline. If the system is taken offline it renders all abilities that use that subsystem temporarily inert. For example, if you target the shields and subsequently take them offline, then all of the enemies shield facings will go down.
The Sensor Analysis passive ability grants the player a stacking damage bonus of 3.33% per minute against a single target whilst the player maintains target lock on an enemy. Once the player switches targets the bonus is reset.
