Deep Space Science Vessel
The Deep Space Science Vessel is an Admiral (Tier 5) level Federation Science Vessel. Designed with a rekindled interest of space exploration after the Dominion Wars, this vessel is equipped with many tools necessary to chart the stars and guide Starfleet into a new age of discovery. The Deep Space Science Vessel has extra Engineering facilities made necessary to make its own repairs or act as a support ship for fleets.
Destiny classshikamaru317. He stated that he named the vessel in memory of his sister who died in 2001 who was also called Destiny. It is the smallest of the three classes of Deep Space Science Vessel.
This class was previously available as an extra ship skin at the C-Store, but as of Season 6 is exclusive to the Fleet Deep Space Science Vessel. Players who purchased the skin prior to the Season 6 update may still use the Nimbus skin on any Deep Space Science Vessels or Mirror Universe Reconnaissance Science Vessels they own.
The starship performs well in all areas of space combat. It has innate abilities that allow it to upgrade the next beam attack fired by one of their beam weapons to attempt to render the targetted subsystem offline temporarily. These abilities however carry a large cooldown and can backfire on the player by increasing the regular beam recharge time of the beam weapon that fired the shot.
Given Science vessels strong shields they generally have the weakest hulls out of all the ranks and starship lines in the Federation, although this can be improved with the relevant skills on the skill tables. The ship has excellent Science capabilities and this allows this ship to perform very well as a support vessel with debuffs, crowd control and AoE damage.
Compared with the Reconnaissance Science Vessel, the Deep Space Science Vessel comes with 150 more crew, a stronger hull by 1,500 HP, one additional Engineering Console versus one Tactical Console and exchanges its Ensign Tactical Bridge Officer with an Ensign Engineering Officer. The trade-offs for the stronger hull and larger crew come with a reduced turn rate of 11 vs 13 and a lower inertia rating of 33 vs 50.

Federation starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.
Federation Science vessels come with built-in abilities. These abilities do not automatically rank up when acquiring higher tier Science starships and must be gained through Tactical Space Bridge officer abilities.

- Sensor Analysis
After activating a subsystem targeting ability, the player will have 30 seconds to attack an enemy ship with any form of beam weapon. The attack will lower power to that system, and have a small chance of completely taking the system offline. If the system is taken offline it renders all abilities that use that subsystem temporarily inert. For example, if you target the shields and subsequently take them offline, then all of the enemies shield facings will go down.
The Sensor Analysis passive ability grants the player a stacking damage bonus of 3.33% per minute against a single target whilst the player maintains target lock on an enemy. Once the player switches targets the bonus is reset.
