Commodities

Commodities are collections of items that can be purchased from a Commodities Broker or Supply vessel in sector space. Commodities are used in exploration missions where the player must deliver them to an alien world in need of such items as part of "Federation Outreach and Aid Programs" (as specified in the information for these items) and for duty officer missions.

These commodities can also be used as a currency for various other types of commodities.

Strategy

Basic and advanced commodities can be found for a range of prices: special vendors (usually 75% EC), space traders (75% EC), base price (100% EC), and replicator (150% EC). Special commodities are always 100% EC cost, except from the replicator which is 150%. The Tuffli Class Freighter matches the lowest prices available for each commodity and is available from the Quartermaster. Ferengi characters receive a 20% discount when buying commodities from a vendor.

• Season 5 increased stack size from 99 to 250.
• Season 6 Which commodities are available from Space Traders at 75% is random. If the first one you meet doesn't offer a discount, try a different trader.
