This assignment will always provide some kind of reward on completion, which will be a Green Quality Bridge Officer candidate in the worst case. The rewarded bridge officer is not bound and freely tradeable unless added to the captain's crew.
The rewarded bridge officer will have the same faction as the captain completing the mission.
This assignment can be offered to captain of any allegiance. Base outcome chances and base rewards are the same regardless of the allegiance, while the duty officer traits impacting Purple Quality (i.e. critical success) outcome will differ depending on whether the captain is Federation or Klingon aligned.
