Ability: Tachyon Detection Grid

Tachyon Detection Grid is a space ability, which provides both a bonus to self and an Area of Effect bonus to Starship Perception, as well as to StealthSight. It is only available on player ships equipped with the [Console - Universal - Tachyon Detection Grid] that comes with the Nebula Advanced Research Vessel Retrofit, purchasable from the C-Store.

Game Description: Activating Tachyon Detection Grid will increase your Starship Perception skill, assisting in spotting cloaked or hidden enemies. Tachyon Detection Grid will also increase the Starship Perception skill, Accuracy and Stealth Sight of all nearby allies. Those allies, in turn, can do the same for allies near them - thus, increasing the overall size of the Detection Grid. Tachyon Detection Grid is not modified by Auxiliary power.

This ability provides two different buffs. First, is the outgoing buff, as described in the tooltip and Game Description, which does not affect the caster. Then, a second self buff that exactly matches Tachyon Detection Field, and is included here in the ability effects.
